Simon has taught creative writing at universities and colleges across Britain and Europe, and is credited by many former students with helping them on the path to publication.
He has lectured, and held seminars and workshops at the Winchester Writers’ Festival, the Swanwick Writers’ Summer School, for the National Association of Writers Groups, and in libraries and schools.
He is a tutor in Creative Writing at the University of Cambridge’s Institute of Continuing Education.
Simon also works with the University’s Faculty of Education, in particular the Arts and Creatives Research Group, and teaches media skills at the Faculty.
He has mentored students at the Universities of Cambridge and Exeter into careers in the media, and regularly lectures on life as a journalist, and how to get into the profession.
The sessions can be structured to run across a week, or last for a day, morning or afternoon.
Simon also teaches the art of journalism, including photography and videography.
If you have particular requirements for a course, please get in touch and Simon will be happy to tailor a session to your needs.
